These Are Real Lives You’re Saving
From helping with health certificates and medical appointments to providing financial support for a wide range of veterinary needs, SPSN has made an incredible impact on our ability to say “yes” to dogs who need us most. Thanks to their help, we’ve been able to save the dogs who were once at risk of euthanasia, and today these dogs are healthy, happy, and living their best lives.
Shelter staff determined Star had a severely injured front leg and called SPSN to get her a veterinary exam. The leg could not be saved, so SPSN paid for the leg amputation surgery. Like two other kitten amputees SPSN saved that year, Star recovered quickly in a foster home, and learned normal kitten activities as a tripod. She found a forever home with a happy little girl.

My foster Marbles started showing signs of respiratory distress at two months. SPSN paid for the X-rays that helped diagnose her fungal pneumonia and those needed to track her progress while undergoing treatment. SPSN even paid for the urine test needed to make sure she was truly in the clear. Thanks to their support, Marbles is now healthy, happy, and back to her sweet, goofy self.
Pups Nala and Chewbacca were dumped in a drainage ditch near my home. With SPSN’s help, not only was Nala spayed but she was able to have a hernia corrected before going to her new home. Chewbacca ended up becoming part of our family. With how many dumped dogs we see out here, it was really important to me that they were both fixed before even considering new homes, and SPSN made that possible.
