A second chance for dogs dogs homeless animals in Bastrop County

Every day, there’s an ill or injured animal at the Bastrop County Animal Shelter who needs extra assistance to become a healthy adoptee. We help the county’s homeless dogs and cats through emergency medical funding, spay and neuter assistance, and adoption support.

Dog - Tina

Tina came to the shelter in great pain with a broken hip.

“I first saw Tina at her foster home before her hip surgery.  She had apparently been run over by a car but she had a happy puppy disposition.  After her surgery, paid for by SPSN, I was able to adopt her.  Now I spend time every day playing fetch and walking with her.  She’s a fun, active dog!”

Foster Dog- Wyatt

Wyatt came with a broken leg after being accidentally run over by his owner.

He required 6+ weeks of strict crate rest, but his leg healed completely. Because of SPSN, we were able to fund exams and x-rays throughout his recovery. He now has a loving home with devoted parents and two young girls!

Help Meet Our Funding Goals for the Animals

Our small but mighty team of volunteers works with minimal overhead to serve the animals of Bastrop County and apply your donations to the animals who need them most! The Bastrop County Animal Shelter also benefits from the money we raise to supply needed items county funding won’t cover. Help us meet our funding goals for the homeless animals today.

When Bastrop County’s Animals Need Help, We're Here

We’re local and we focus on the specific needs of Bastrop County’s animals. We fund emergency medical care for sick and injured animals at the Bastrop County Animal Shelter. We reduce shelter intake through our own rescue work and our popular Spay/Neuter Certificate program for financially-disadvantaged pet owners. We also aid adoptions by funding out-of-state animal transports and sponsoring adoption events.

We’re 100% volunteer-run, which means when you donate to us every single dollar goes directly to our mission of helping animals. We have minimal bureaucracy and are able to implement new programs and ideas fast. We’ve been here since 2019, building trust.
